Afriyie OwareBusiness Development

Afriyie works with high-net-worth individuals, multi generation and first generation entrepreneurs to help them develop investment policies, asset allocation solutions and multigenerational wealth planning strategies. Being an entrepreneur himself, he understands the myriad of challenges that confronts these group of people. Afriyie is passionate about individuals and families living their best financial life. As the CEO of Axis Pension Group, Afriyie wears multiple caps in his bid to promote sustainable wealth growth. Prior to co-founding Axis he worked for about 6 years with Databank in roles cutting across fund administration, private wealth management, institutional fund management and business development. Afriyie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana and an Executive MBA from the Said Business School, University of Oxford. In his personal time, Afriyie enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and walking for relaxation.

Louisa Siaw, LLB (Hons) PgDipEstate Planning

Louisa is a lawyer called to the bar of England and Wales and the Ghana bar and has about 10years’ experience as a corporate commercial lawyer. Her expertise is in Pensions, Insurance, Probate Law and Estate Planning.

Louisa heads the Trust and Estate planning practice of Axis Wealth Management. She works closely with the financial planners in designing estate planning strategies that assist Clients meet their objectives of tax planning, asset protection and estate planning. She specialises in the areas of Wills, Trusts and Estates and Estate Planning. Louisa is well versed in the laws of Ghana and that of other common law jurisdictions such as England and Wales.

Prior to her role with Firm she worked as a Senior Associate with one of Ghana’s reputable tier 1 law firm Fugar and Co for seven years. She worked with the Capital markets, Insurance and Pensions and Company Secretarial teams.

Louisa has an LLB and a Post graduate diploma in Law from Cardiff University Wales. She also has a BL from the Ghana School of Law. She is also currently a STEP Student.

When she is not working, Louisa enjoys travelling and swimming. She is an avid football fun and supports Manchester United. She is also a member of VOLCARE a voluntary care club that provides support for orphanages. In another life she would love to come back as a footballer or a sommelier.

Karl Ocran, CFAInvestment Strategist

Karl holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and the Certificate in Investment Performance designation. As an investment strategist, Karl serves as a member of the investment committee and leads Axis Wealth Management investment team. In this capacity, he contributes to decisions impacting strategies and tactical allocation of portfolios at the asset class level and also has the responsibility of driving research, portfolio construction and security selection for clients. Prior to Joining Axis Wealth, Karl was a VP of Investment at Frontline Capital Advisors. Karl has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ashesi University and a Master’s degree in Advanced Finance from IE Business School in Madrid. He is a member of the CFA Society in Ghana. Karl enjoys sports and is an avid swimmer, tennis , soccer and basketball player.

Nana Wiafe Boamah, CFAFinancial Planner

Nana combines his financial planning and wealth management experience to deliver broad based wealth advisory services to corporate executives, business owners and retirees. As a financial planner Nana helps clients in the areas of cash flow planning, education planning, retirement planning, and estate planning and investment allocation.

Nana prior experiences cuts across five years in risk management with Standard Chartered Bank and three years in investment management and advisory with First Atlantic Brokers and Algebra Securities.

Nana has both a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance and Masters of Philosophy degree in Finance from the University of Ghana. He is a member of the CFA Society in Ghana and London.

Nana enjoys his early morning run as a way to keep fit and de-stress. When he is not working, Nana loves spending time with his family, reading or sleeping. He is a huge basketball fan of the NBA.
